Red Blood Cell: A Promise to See You again
Red Blood Cell: A Promise to See You again
—Red Blood Cell—
On September 26 and 27, A8 Design Center’s original performance "Red Blood Cell" was staged in the "Mountain Valley" of Chengdu Luxelakes Eco City. The pouring autumn rain for two consecutive days is a natural white noise that is naturally given to the performance, so that the audience coming in the rain can be more attentively immersed in the atmosphere created by the repertoire. The audience outside the stage wears the white raincoat prepared by A8 and naturally blends into this field experimental performance.
We would like to thank the main creative team and dancers for their dedication and wonderful performance, as well as the specially invited audience, performance-related practitioners, specially invited media and designers, and the leaders of Wide Horizon Investment Group, including 70 specially invited audiences.
A8 Design Center will continue to study the clues of environmental drama and related design. Thank you and look forward to your continued attention.
—The Main Creators—
The scene at Luxelakes Mountain Forest Valley this time is a very different scene for me. Raindrops and wind sounds have become part of the rhythm of the scene. I am worried about the performance of the performance, but the surprise is that the audience thinks that the sound of rain makes them enjoy it. This time, with limited manpower and a lot of workload, the performance went smoothly. I think it is already an attempt to surpass.
——Chief Director, Choreographer
Chen Mengxi
With the combination of music, dance, light and shadow, the dancers completed the performance perfectly and flexibly. Although there will be some changes in weather factors, they still completed the performance unaffected. Thank them very much.
——Chief planning and choreography Zhang Luwen
In the formal performance, the interaction between the dancers and the on-site installations was beyond my expectation. The dancers interpreted a metaphor different from my original design. This collision of multiple thinking is particularly interesting. The efficient communication with the director during the creative process is also a very pleasant experience!
——Stage Design Liao Qing
I like the part of the hillside very much, as if I traveled through time and space and went to another time and space, I can fly freely, but I will eventually fall into the world, which is not bad.
——Dancer Zhong Xiying
Outdoor performances are actually very rich and there are many uncertainties. What is rich is that this kind of environmental dance will bring many unexpected effects such as natural sounds, such as the real feelings of wind and rain on the body, and the sudden mood. What's not sure is the lighting effect and stage scope, whether the performance area can directly hit the audience. What is pleasantly surprised is that our stage art and the props used by the choreographer greatly enhance the focus of this space and clearly express the concept of red blood cells. The use of some great visual dance concepts and materials guides the audience’s attention. , This is what I think is great.
——Dancer Yang Qind
The rain on the day of the performance is the greatest interest. In my opinion, everything about environmental drama is uncertain and unknown, but this is what I have been exploring. Feel the moment, enjoy the moment.
——Dancer Li Jinhui
The performance felt like life, fresh and hot and bursting life. No matter how long the rain on the body, every dancer is trying to “live”just like our hearts. I felt my heartbeat the whole time, my own or the other dancers' or the audience's.
