    RSAA/ Büro Ziyu Zhuang

    RSAA/ Büro Ziyu Zhuang was founded in 2010, and it is one of RSAA GmbH members.Based in Beijing, Büro Ziyu Zhuang aims to use the connections from Germany and China to establish a new design vocabulary making use of the resources of both to create a new element of thought, a fusion of European and Chinese architecture. This will create a new and unique style which takes advantage of the two-way system, bringing Chinese influences to Europe, crafting a new line of thought that surpasses the constraints of each individual culture, and vice versa.


    Following the establishment of BuZZ Shanghai in 2018, RSAA/ Büro Ziyu Zhuang founded a new office- BuZZ Berlin in Berlin, Germany in 2019 in order to respond the growing demand of international market, and make the implementation of projects better.


    With the projects such as Tongling Recluse, The Cropland-loop Resort, The Chengdu VUE Resort, Courtyard No.7 at The Drum Tower, Nanjing The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, Jining Culture Center Urban Design, The Top of Cloud, Chamber Church,  “The Cloud Maze” and other projects, RSAA/ Büro Ziyu Zhuang has won Architizer A+ Award, World Architecture Festival WAF/INSIDE Design Award – Display Winner, WAN Awards-House of the Year, THE PLAN AWARD-HONORABLE MENTION, German Design Award-winner, ICONIC AWARDS: Innovative Architecture-Best of Best, A’ Design Award, DFA Awards-Gold Award, INNODESIGN PRIZE - winner, APIDA-Gold Award, iF DESIGN AWARD, Reddot award, the BIM Award of China Engineering & Consulting Association.

    The DNA structure discovered by Crick and Watson in 1953 revealed the internal mechanism hidden under the phenomenon of mutation: a coded, inheritable, and transformable DNA sequence.     "The Complexity and Contradiction of Architecture" is an influential architectural theory work by Venturi.     《锦灰堆》一二卷收集了作者在80岁以前所写的大部分文章,计105篇,第三卷则以手书影印的形式选收了王世襄历年所作的诗词120首。全书计有线图234幅,黑白图424幅,彩图255幅,可谓琳琅满目,令人爱不释手。

    尤其令人叫绝的,是其所收的105篇文章分为家具、漆具、竹刻、工艺、则例、书画、雕塑、乐舞、忆往、游艺、饮食、杂稿等十二类。其涉及面之广,在个人的自选集类书籍中极为罕见,从中也可看出作者兴趣之博杂,积累之用心。如果说,对于古代家具,特别是明代家具,以及书画之类的详细讨论还是可在传统的文物类书籍中时常见到的话,那么,对于竹刻的把握可能就是更有该书作者之特色的了。而对于像葫芦、鸽哨这类小玩艺的长篇讨论,恐怕更非常人所能设想厂。此书既可以作为收藏发烧友的手册,又可使普通读者增长见闻,或作别致的艺术品来“把玩”。


    The first and second volumes of "Jin Hui Dui" collect most of the articles written by the author before the age of 80, totaling 105 articles.     "Constructive Culture Research" is a rethinking of the entire modern architectural tradition. The concept of construction discussed by Frampton regards architecture as a craft of construction. It poses a powerful challenge to the mainstream ideas that are obsessed with postmodern art and presents a convincing and innovative approach to architecture. Indeed, Frampton’s rationale is that modern architecture is not only closely related to space and abstract form, but also to the same vital degree as structure and construction.


    In this book, Frampton clearly explains how structural engineering and constructive imagination are presented in different ways. In the buildings of Perret, Wright, Kang, Scarpa, and Mies, and how the construction form and material characteristics play a complementary role in the architectural performance of these architects. In addition, Frampton’s analysis also shows that the way these elements permeate an architect’s work also constitutes the basis for judging the architect’s overall architectural development.
